Your test results may indicate that you need a vascular interventional treatment rather than surgery. Watertown Regional Medical Center Heart & Vascular Center offers a variety of vascular interventional treatments, all performed in our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab.
Cardiac procedures offered include:
- Coronary artery stenting - During this procedure, a balloon catheter widens a narrowed artery in your legs and a small metal stent is inserted to help keep the artery open.
- Pacemakers and defibrillator implantation - Implanted cardiac devices are surgically placed to help your heart maintain a normal beat.
- Cardiac ablations procedures - Used to treat arrhythmias, or abnormal heart rhythms, this nonsurgical procedure uses a catheter to eradicate abnormal electrical pathways in your heart.
- When needed, our partnership with UW Health provides a seamless link to heart and vascular services at UW Health.
