At 29, a heart attack was the last thing Jason worried about. Sadly, even at his young age, Jason did suffer a massive heart attack – a terrifying experience. To make matters worse, a week after the heart attack, Jason was informed that the company he worked for could no longer financially afford to keep him on the payroll. He would lose his job and health insurance benefits immediately.
After the medical bills started pouring in, Jason contacted a patient financial counselor at Watertown Regional Medical Center. This is where he learned about the Community Cares program.
Community Cares is designed to help patients who cannot afford to pay for all or part of their care. Watertown Regional Medical Center has always been committed to providing access to quality healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.
Not only did Jason qualify for the program, but it covered 100% of his medical bills from Watertown Regional Medical Center. Jason says, “I would be financially devastated if it wasn’t for the Community Cares Program. I am very grateful that I got the financial help that I desperately needed.”
